I love spinning. Wool, cotton, silk. I have spun for 28 years. I have three wheels. A schacht., Jensen and an antique flax wheel. I also use drop spindles and takhli spindles for cotton. I have a Louet carder.I love to get fibers, wash, card and spin, I don't buy prepared fibers. I had a nice shetland fleece and for the past two years I have been getting fleeces from Montana. Have a Lovely black fleece right now that I have been spinning. I have never dyed just with Kool aid I bought some Country Classic to try this summer. The Picture is my two year old cat in a bag of shetland. He was a one year old he loves to burrow into a bag of fiber I have to really watch him. My other cat of 10 years could care less about my yarn he likes to help me warp my loom. He sleeps in my weaving room. Current Mood: content

|Pain pain go away
So much pain today. Was hoping that the interface for my loom would be coming soon. What a bummer. I wish I could sleep at least then I am not in pain. I went to the stitch and bitch and Deb sure is not too sympathetic towards me. Seems to think it is fun not working. No money coming in. Just cause we live in this nice house doesn't mean we are wealthy. House rich, income poor. Spose we should sell it and get a smaller one would be easier for me to maintain. Dave doesn't want to sell. Current Mood: crappy

We are looking into going to John C Campbell school this August. It's our anniversary and it will be our continued celebration. My dh has some experience with blacksmithing and I would of course like to take a beading, weaving or dyeing class. I am not able to type much as my grand child is pestering me right now.
Have spent much of this winter killing, cleaning up Asian beetles we are inundated with them. Current Mood: frustrated
